Forests Ontario is excited to be presenting at the UOIT Environmental Education Conference about It Takes A Forest: Exploring the World of Forestry. The session will highlight the importance of our forests and provided educators with valuable resources to introduce forests into their own classrooms.

The Kemptville Woodlot Conference is an excellent opportunity for people of all different backgrounds to come together and learn about forestry and woodlot management in Ontario. Stop by the Forests Ontario booth to talk to our staff about the “It takes a Forest” campaign, an initiative to recognize and promote the Forestry sector in Ontario, as well to learn about the tree planting programs we offer. The Ottawa Valley Farm show is the largest farm show in Eastern Ontario and attracts thousands of visitors every year. Come out to learn about all things farming and how you can incorporate tree planting on your property. Forests Ontario is pleased to be exhibiting so come stop by our booth to speak to our Field Advisors and learn how you can add a windbreak to your property or add function and value to your marginal land by planting trees. Seedy Saturdays are fun events for anyone interested in buying seeds, attending workshops or taking part in the community seed exchange, all with the main goal of adding some green to your property.

This one day conference will provide a professional learning opportunity in Environmental Education for TDSB teachers, OISE students, and others interested in the work of the EcoSchools Program.
