The training consists of four days of classroom lectures (combined with field visits and exercises), followed by one optional day of written and field examinations for those wishing to pursue certification. Topics include: stand analysis, tree evaluation and classification, habitat values and biodiversity consideration, implementing forest management prescriptions and marking crew organization.
