At more than 60 years, Tree Bee is Forest Ontario’s longest running education program. For decades, its goal has been to teach elementary students about local tree species and their natural surroundings through free educational resources and an annual competition.

This year, Forests Ontario is launching the Tree Bee Mobile Website. Thanks to our friends at TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, the online tree identification software is available at your fingertips! Whether you’re at your family cottage, hiking rugged trails, or even relaxing in your own backyard, tree identification has never been easier.

You can sign up for a Tree Bee account and keep track of all the trees you identify. You can also take photos for your personal tree inventory and map your trees using the Tree Bee geolocation tool.

Tree Bee is Forests Ontario’s oldest education program. Every year, students in the Greater Toronto Area would take part in a competition to test their tree identification skills. With TreeBee.ca, you can take Tree Bee anywhere, exploring and learning more about the trees in your community.
