Trees Ontario Partners Meet to Share Ideas and Expertise
June 12, 2009 – Trees Ontario hosted their 3rd Annual Partners Meeting on June 11, 2009 at the Highwayman Inn in Orillia. This day-long meeting brought together Trees Ontario planting partners from conservation authorities, stewardship councils, nurseries and forestry consultant companies from across the province, in an open forum atmosphere to share thoughts, ideas and expertise.
Topics discussed included Trees Ontario program delivery, including the Ministry of Natural Resources’ 50 Million Tree Program, communication work, alternative approaches to afforestation, technical transfer, seed forecasting and collection, upcoming events and opportunities for improvement.
Trees Ontario would like to thank the 75 partners that attended for their continued support and excellent feedback.
