Take Part in CAA’s Autogreen Program and Support Trees Ontario
Southern Ontario, October 1, 2010 – Trees Ontario and CAA are partnering again in support of CAA’s Autogreen program. Members and non-members signing up for the program and/or taking an Autogreen challenge will not only support the planting of a tree in Ontario, but be eligible to win thousands of dollars in prizes!
With close to one vehicle for every two people, Canada has one of the highest ratios of car ownership in the world. CAA’s Autogreen program is designed to provide members with eco-conscious options, tips and services that help them become more eco-friendly drivers.
In 2010, for every CAA Member that participates in the Autogreen program, they will support the planting of a native tree seedling and be entered into CAA’s contest.
This year’s target is to support the planting of 20,000 trees which is equivalent to approximately 260,000 pounds of carbon offset. In addition to planting trees, CAA is also providing its members with eco-driving tips to significantly reduce fuel consumption.
