OPG and Trees Ontario to distribute native tree seed kits at the 2010 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair
October 20, 2010 – To underscore the importance of biodiversity, native tree seed and tree planting efforts, Trees Ontario and Ontario Power Generation (OPG) will be handing out free native tree seed kits at this year’s Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.
At the joint Trees Ontario/OPG booth, show attendees can obtain their own kit to take home, discuss tree planting tips and techniques with forestry experts, assess eligibility for tree planting subsidy and tax incentive programs, and learn more about OPG’s biodiversity program.
Free native tree seed kits will be available*:
• At the Trees Ontario/OPG OPG booth (Hall A #2627-2727) on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the show (November 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14). Trees Ontario tree planters may be out on the show floor distributing seed kits during other days as well.
• On Sunday, November 14 at the Santa Claus photo area
