Faces of Forests Ontario: Alanna Evans

Posted: September 12, 2019

Favourite Tree: White Spruce

Position: Event Coordinator

Joining our team this Fall is Alanna Evans, our new Events Coordinator.  Alanna is going to be taking over the management and organization of all of Forests Ontario’s events throughout the year – from Christmas Market to conference to Community Tree Plants and beyond!  She is incredibly excited to be working with Forests Ontario, and can’t wait to see everyone coming out to our events.

Alanna grew up in Caledon, Ontario. From an early age, she had a deep passion for nature and the great outdoors, and particularly enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time at her cottage.  During her free time, you can find her camping, cooking, skiing, hiking, and spending time with friends.  On top of all that, she loves photography and playing sports.

Alanna received her undergraduate degree from Western University in Health Sciences.  After graduating she decided to move out to BC to spend some time working at a ski resort.  It was there that she decided to go back to school and pursue a career in an environmental field.   She enrolled in Environmental Visual Communication through Fleming College and the Royal Ontario Museum.  She graduated in November of 2018, and is thrilled that it eventually brought her to Forests Ontario.

Alanna is very excited to be a part of the Forests Ontario community, working to connect people with nature.
