Ajax Community Tree Plant

October 21st, 2017

You are invited to join Forests Ontario and the City of Ajax to help increase forest canopy from 10:00 am to 12 pm. Trees, shovels, gloves and refreshments will be provided. This event is suitable for all ages and will take place rain or shine! High school students are eligible to receive volunteer hours for participation.

Ajax Community Plant

April 22nd, 2017

The community that plants together, grows together! Our Community Tree Plant brings together families, community members and volunteers to take part in a half-day tree planting activity, promoting local engagement and environmental awareness.

This family-friendly event offers participants the chance to directly support their community in a local reforestation project and learn about the benefits of trees, shade and green urban spaces.

Along with the Town of Ajax and Honda Canada, we will be planting 1,600 native trees and plants. Town of Ajax will provide the trees, shovels, gloves & snacks! Help increase trees in Ajax- high school students can even receive volunteer hours!

Participation helps build awareness around the importance of trees, which clean our air, improve water supplies, foster wildlife habitat, contribute to human health and provide a buffer against the effects of climate change.


What to Bring: To participate in this family-friendly event, bring a shovel, gardening gloves and lots of energy!

What We Will Bring: We will supply the rest – the trees, forestry specialists, mulch and snacks.

Parking: Parking will be available at the address.
