Forests Ontario’s 50 Million Tree Program

The 50 Million Tree Program offers financial and technical assistance for tree planting. Property owners with room to plant a minimum of 500 trees (usually less than an acre), can apply. We match you with a planting agent who will work with you to create a plan for your property and deliver professional planting.

This program is supported by the Government of Canada.

Update: Forests Ontario would like to thank all the students, teachers, and volunteers who made the 2016 NAE an incredible success. We are excited to announce that University of Toronto Schools (UTS), representing the province of Ontario, were crowned the 2016 NAE champions at the closing banquet on July 28th. Penncrest High School from Pennsylvania were named runners-up and Palisades Charter High School from California rounded out the top three. Read the full release here.

Forests Ontario hosted the 2016 North American Envirothon (NAE), a program of the National Conservation Foundation, this summer from July 24-29 at Trent University in beautiful Peterborough. This exciting event brought over 500 visitors from over 50 states, provinces and territories together to compete for the championship title and learn all about what Ontario has to offer.
