Forests Ontario’s 50 Million Tree Program

The 50 Million Tree Program offers financial and technical assistance for tree planting. Property owners with room to plant a minimum of 500 trees (usually less than an acre), can apply. We match you with a planting agent who will work with you to create a plan for your property and deliver professional planting.

This program is supported by the Government of Canada.

Presentation Challenge

Forests Ontario is pleased to offer students a new way to engage with the Ontario Envirothon program through our online Presentation Challenge!

The Presentation Challenge is modeled after the presentation component of a regional Ontario Envirothon event. A key part of the Envirothon program challenges students to work on their communication, collaboration and problem solving skills by coming up with a solution to an environmental challenge and presenting this to a panel of judges. The Presentation Challenge will allow students from across Ontario to participate online a for a chance to win a spot at the Ontario Envirothon Championship.

Steps:

  1. Grab your team of 5 high school buddies
  2. Complete and return your Team Registration Form to envirothon@forestsontario.ca to register your team. There is no cost to participate!

  4. Research, plan, and develop your video presentation – we encourage you to be creative!
  5. Post your video to YouTube or share a viewable link by submission deadline.
