Forests Ontario’s 50 Million Tree Program

The 50 Million Tree Program offers financial and technical assistance for tree planting. Property owners with room to plant a minimum of 500 trees (usually less than an acre), can apply. We match you with a planting agent who will work with you to create a plan for your property and deliver professional planting.

Forests Ontario (formerly Ontario Forestry Association) has been building the Ontario Envirothon since 1994 with educators and a provincial network of volunteers and local science advisors. Since this time, participation in the program has grown from 10 schools, to over 200 schools and 10,000 students from up to 24 regions across Ontario.
